Hello all, welcome to my digital world.
My name is Krista Ganelon. I’m a graphic designer and full time mama living in sunny San Diego. I live with my awesome fiancé Arturo who works as a web developer. By day I care for the best baby girl in the world and by night I enjoy illustrating clip-art and surface designs.
I’m a lover of all things bright and decorative. I enjoy listening to comedy podcasts, watching jeopardy, and have a deep love for pastries and cheese boards. I’m not a story teller, I’m a picture taker.
I’m originally from Calipatria CA, a one stoplight town located along the Mexican border. I moved to San Diego at age 19 to enroll in Platt College‘s Bachelor of Science Media Art’s program and it’s been home since 2004.
I’ve been a ‘creative’ ever since I can remember. My love of notebooks and Lisa Frank stickers fueled my love for color and paper goods. I spent my early years at my grandma’s house drawing and coloring. There I was surrounded by her beautiful flowers, birdhouses, and hand sewn everything. I dedicate this blog to my Nana Maria. The original Pinterest Queen. She taught me to work hard and live creatively.
I’ve worked in the graphic design industry for 8+ years for companies such as Wallternatives.com and HouseofMagnets.com as an in-house graphic designer. I’m currently working with Notecardcafe.com on some fun notecard designs. I’m available for freelance projects! My hope is to focus on remote design work for the next coming year. Our goal as a family is to work from anywhere in the world with a decent internet connection.
My design aesthetic is bright, whimsical, and a bit silly. I hope to share with you my artwork, favorite music, and all else that inspires me. If you like polka dots and sarcasm, this is the blog for you.
